10 Savannah GA Hot Spots
Updated: Apr 6
Visiting the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia soon? You’ve hit the itinerary jackpot! Living in Savannah has given me the ultimate inside scoop on all the best places to eat, drink, and have a great time.
If Kenny Chesney had a dive bar in Savannah Georgia, then it would definitely be Huc-A-Poos. My husband and I are repeat visitors to the Tybee Island pizza joint. The pizzas are huge, the drinks are cheap, and the staff is awesome. Could you ask for anything more? No. The answer is no.
The Crab Shack
Another of our Tybee Island favorites is The Crab Shack. It doesn’t matter what time of the week it is, this place is booming. The wait is never outrageous, and the food is always delicious. Craving a low country boil big enough to feed a small village? Head to The Crab Shack.
Nine Lines Apparel
Head over to Nine Line Apparel and you can support two veteran companies on a one stop shop. Black Rifle Coffee has a barista conveniently located inside Nine Line to feed your caffeine addiction. Who doesn’t love a veteran owned business? Everyone loves them.
You really haven’t seen Savannah if you’ve never stumbled down the beautiful cobblestone road that is River Street. Filled with shops, restaurants, and entertainment it is easy to see how it made the top ten. Want to be blown away by a beautiful view? It sounds like you’re headed to River Street.
Oatland Island Wildlife Center
Smaller than the typical aquarium or zoo, but packed with family-friendly activities nonetheless. Want to capture Savannah’s nature in one place? The wildlife center has it all!
East Bay Street
Only a few blocks up from River Street, East Bay Street is a popular strip. Places to eat are plenty and the strip is long, so you can walk it all off! There are some higher-end shops on East Bay, but there are also smaller shops that are great for tourist shopping. Want to get breakfast, lunch, and dinner on one street? Head to East Bay!
American Prohibition Museum
Jam packed with interesting history, the museum is a worthwhile stop. Did you know you can casually walk shop to shop downtown with your beer in Savannah? You can giggle about that while you venture through the museum.
Coastal Botanical Garden
With all the beautiful weather Savannah is blessed with, it would be a good idea to head over to the gardens. It is a cheap family friendly outing. There is an overlook in the gardens that is open to the public. Looking for a good picture spot? Definitely go to the Coastal Botanical Gardens.
A trip out to Fort Pulaski will feel like a vacation all in itself being that it is a national monument located conveniently at the beach. Tickets are $10/person for anyone over 15. It is also the only dog-friendly beach in Savannah. Want an adventure and a workout? Fort Pulaski is the place!
Tybee Island Lighthouse
Open to the public for a small fee, the lighthouse is a great place to visit. Unlike the nearby Cockspur island lighthouse, you can go inside this one. Tickets are discounted for military. Avid lighthouse lover? Tybee island’s lighthouse is beautiful.
It is hard for one blog post to encompass my favorite places in Savannah, so I will definitely have to categorize and share more of the best hot spots in the future! Have you been anywhere around Savannah that you feel like needs to be on the list?
