Interested in Renting from Tybee Vacation Rentals?

During the 863875th day of quarantine my family rented a beach house at Tybee Island that was managed by Tybee Vacation Rentals.

I decided to share our experience from our relaxing weekend vacation away from the craziness of quarantine.

Tybee Vacation Rentals

I am so impressed by Tybee Vacation Rentals and all they provided for our stay.

The TVR website allowed us to look at all of the houses they rented. There was only one house available for our last minute stay, but it didn’t disappoint in the slightest. Renting with them was simple, and the representatives were extremely nice.

We got a text around 1 PM on a Friday that we could check into our house that we were originally told we could check into around 3 PM. Everything was so clean! There was toilet paper in each bathroom and two rolls of paper towels on the kitchen counter. They were low quality brands, but you can’t complain when something is provided!

The beach house

The beach house we stayed in was on 12th street on Tybee Island.

The 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath home was immaculate when we arrived. Linens, bath towels, a few dishwasher tabs, a kitchen stocked with utensils were provided and all neatly placed. There was also wifi available at the house, but the single was only strong on the main floor.

The bottom floor had a two car garage with a ping pong table, pool, dart board, and a large outdoor jinga game. If you have young kids, then it is the perfect area for them to safely run around. I took my son’s Little Tikes car and he pushed it around for hours. There is a gate with an alarm that separates the pool from the garage. Make sure to bring your own pool toys and floats.

On the main floor of the house there was the master bedroom, a laundry room with appliances, and a large living area. The front porch is screened in and there is a ton of seating out there as well as in the living room. Two fans provide decent air circulation on the porch, but in the heat of the day, the sun shines directly in on you.

The third story of the house has the remaining three bedrooms and two full baths. All three of the rooms have double beds in them. A separate AC unit manages that floor as well, so you have control over how cool things are up there.

Beach house improvements

Overall, our stay was wonderful and we only had a few minor improvement suggestions.

The pool is small, but it is a pool nonetheless! One improvement for the house would be to include beach towels and an outdoor broom for the pool area. There are large palm trees that drape the pool & you spend a lot of time trying to clean the pine needles and palm debris out of the area. A net is provided for the pool, but the concrete area surrounding the pool left us at a loss.

Things to do at Tybee

Most vacationers coming to Tybee plan on hanging out on the beach, but there are a few other things to get into around the island. You can rent jet skis, rent golf carts, or rent kayaks while you’re here!

Before you leave, you have to make sure to stop by Hucapoos for huge slices of pizza and cheap drinks. They are absolutely a favorite for the locals.

Don’t forget that you have to pay for parking all around Tybee for the beach access, so don’t end up with a parking ticket! If you go to North Beach at low tide you can find sand dollars as well as getting to go up into the lighthouse.

Tybee Island is small, but it is the perfect place for a family vacation. We enjoyed Tybee Vacation Rentals, and we will absolutely be using them again in the future.
